Mamady specialises in Business and the Environment area, focusing on protected areas management and Biodiversity Conservation, as well as adaptation to climate change for vulnerable countries.
Mamady has worked in both NGO and business sectors in the UK and the Republic of Guinea, West Africa. His technical achievements include completing the database of Key Biodiversity Areas of Guinea fod policy concerning the protected areas network in West Africa for the World Conservation Monitoring Centre, particularly with respect to likely climate change constraints on protected areas design; designing migrations birds conservation project in Guinea for Birdlife International and Guinée Ecologie, building partnership for the conservation of Guinea threatened bats species with Bat Conservation Africa, supporting the implementation of the Environmental Management Systems by Simandou Project’ subcontractors.
Mamady currently shares his time as volunteer for the primary environmental NGO Guinee Ecologie and as Associated consultant for Enviro Africa Sarl in Guinea, where supports businesses for their environmental responsibilities. He also contributed to key publications such like Key Biodiversity Areas identification in the Upper Guinea forest biodiversity hotspot, and Fair and effective governance of climate financing. Project design, spatial planning and mapping skills are at the forefront of his repertoire.
