David Stead
Non-Executive Director
David is a Board-level adviser for several purpose-driven organisations, contributing the skills and insights developed over decades leading strategy, marketing, and commercial development for major consulting, legal, banking, early stage, and charitable organisations. As a forward-looking, creative professional, he is passionate about helping ethical organisations succeed through robust strategy, innovation, ESG/impact, and performance.
David is a Non-Executive Director (NED) at The Biodiversity Consultancy, as well as Chair of the Creative Commerce Board for CATS Global Schools, on the Advisory Boards of Maanch (Impact Management), the University of Surrey Business School and is a Board Trustee for The Royal Commonwealth Society and the IESE Foundation.
He has studied Sustainable Business at Harvard University, Social Finance at Oxford University, has an MBA from IESE Business School, and a Finance degree from Cass Business School. Previous roles include: driving strategic growth and profile for Maanch, a start-up B-Corp helping organisations to plan and increase their social and environmental impact; Exec. Director of Philanthropy and Development at Charities Aid Foundation (CAF); the CEO of 11KBW, a top firm of attorneys; and BD/Commercial Director and Strategy Consultant for various professional services and Investment Banking firms including Eversheds, Field Fisher, KPMG, Accenture, UBS, and RBS.
David writes for various journals including Impact Entrepreneur and Philanthropy Impact, acts as a Judge for industry Awards like Wealth4Good, and is a regular panellist and speaker on a range of topics.
David lives in Surrey, plays team tennis for the RAC Club, and has three daughters.
