The Biodiversity Consultancy is a leading provider of lender-aligned Critical Habitat Assessments (e.g. PS6, PR6, ESS6), having undertaken Critical Habitat Assessments for projects in sectors such as mining, renewable energy, and built infrastructure. This assessment helps organisations identify and verify Critical Habitat-qualifying biodiversity in proximity to their site-based project, pinpoint information gaps, and evaluate the need for and scope of additional field studies.

The experience and understanding gained over the years of conducting these assessments have enabled us to maximise efficiencies by ensuring a comprehensive assessment of biodiversity risks for each project. Our process then allows us to support projects to identify strategic, pragmatic, and cost-effective approaches to development that are aligned with lending standards and to understand the next steps required for activities in Critical Habitat. This may involve the need for a Residual Impact Assessment, Biodiversity Action Plans, offset feasibility study and offset design and implementation planning, all of which we can write and provide for the client.
